Brooklyn, New York: Columbia Heights Tour
I visited Brooklyn last month. I was amazed at all the buildings and architecture there. I’ve been to Brooklyn so many times and grew up right outside of New York City. I sort of took it all for granted. I also visited a great Indian restaurant I hadn’t been to in years.

There were so many beautiful brownstones. Then there were all the modern buildings. It was such a contrast. The Barclays Center was also in this area. This neighborhood is near the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.

The restaurant was located in the Columbia heights area. I had loved the food, though I hadn’t had the chance to return.

The name of the restaurant was Asya. I stepped inside and was greeted with unique vintage architectural details at every turn. Look up into the ceiling. Then at the chandeliers. It’s all in the unique touches. Then came the food. It was just as good as I’d remembered.

I ordered tandoori chicken. My friends ordered the crab curry. Everything was amazing. The naan was the perfect texture. The waiter also presented us with another bread to sample.

After dinner we strolled down and saw more buildings. I do hope to visit this area again soon. If you’re in the Columbia Heights area of Brooklyn, definitely visit Aysa and also Tutt Heights for great Middle Eastern food.
