Downtown Montreal Architecture

Downtown Montreal Architecture

The month of April brought me to Montreal, Quebec in Canada, to visit friends. I had visited Montreal in 2010 and hadn’t been back since. One of the things that stood out to me was the architecture. Take a look and see for yourself.

I stayed in La Salle, so the first few pictures are of this little island. I found out that Montreal is made up of islands actually. Many of the homes in La Salle reminded me of Queens, New York, ironically.

From here I traveled to downtown Montreal. Many of the buildings reminded me of downtown New Haven, Connecticut, close to Yale University. It’s possible that a similar style of architecture was used.

It’s so cool to go to other countries and still see places that remind you of home.
