The Little Pub
This pub reminds me of British and Irish pubs in Europe. The Little Pub was founded in 2009. They have the best fish and chips. Also check out their sweet potato fries which are awesome. Other popular items include their chicken and waffles and their food truck fish tacos.
Or sample the four different types of Mac & Cheese. This is another great place to eat in Fairfield, and they offer lots of weekend specials. Join their email list to stay up to date. Be sure to take a picture in front of the red phone booth on your way out. Address: 2133 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825 Website: About Fairfield Little Pub | Little Pub
Bonchon
If you have been following me on this blog for a while, you will know my love for Bonchon. It is a Korean fried chicken restaurant with so many other great options. The chicken is double fried to make it crispy on the outside, yet juicy on the inside. Besides the fried chicken, there are other Korean dishes as well as Japanese fusion dishes. Address: 1561 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Bonchon Restaurant Locator
Mecha
This is an Asian fusion spot with lots of different options from countries such as Japan, Korea and Vietnam. Options include steamed buns, noodles and hand rolls. They also have a selection of ramen. Drinks include both alcoholic and nonalcoholic choices. Definitely try their many types of Sake. Or their selection of bubble teas. Address: 1215 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Mecha Noodle Bar
Craft 260
This is a great place to pick up a beer and eat fried chicken. They have your standard pub foods. This includes tacos, ribs, wings and more. Expect to sample beers from around the world. Address: 260 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: CRAFT 260
Brickwalk Tavern
I would describe this as “elevated” pub food. You have your basics like burgers and steak. Then they throw in items like kimchi fried rice mushroom “caviar”. Something unique is the option to book the Chef’s Room. When you reserve this space, you work with the restaurant’s Executive Chef to create a custom meal, including wine. Address: 1275 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Brick Walk Tavern – American Restaurant in Fairfield, CT
The Whale Tea
This is a unique ice cream shop that offers rolled ice cream. The ice cream is blended, flattened, then rolled into ice cream “rolls”. The location has gone through a few changes and even the name has changed a few times. But they still serve the same things through the changes.
Expect the rolled ice cream and lot of drinks, especially Bubble tea. Milk teas, including Thai milk tea are also popular. Something unique is their crystal drinks that include flavored jellies. Their drinks are more popular than the ice cream. Address: 1700 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Fairfield | The Whale Tea US (whaleteausa.com)
Milkcraft
The ice cream here is so delicious and creamy. It’s made using liquid nitrogen. Part of the experience is watching them make the ice cream.
The flavors are unique and very good. Pictured here is the Milk & Cereal flavor. The bubble wafflecones are the perfect match for the ice cream. They also sell something called a Creameebun (spelled correctly). It’s a doughnut stuffed with ice cream, then sealed. Address: 1215 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Milkcraft Fairfield | Home | Fairfield (milkcraftca.com)
Bonkers cupcakes
This shop has such good cupcakes, and the owner is so friendly. Everything is made from scratch. They have vegan, nut-free and gluten-free options. In addition to great cupcakes, they have puddings, cookies, pull apart cakes and traditional cakes. Address: 1618 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 Website: Bonkers Cupcakes
