Boost Your Creativity with Music
Music is in so many ways a universal language. With music you can put yourself in the mood to do so many things. Many people have a workout playlist that really gets them pumped to get into a great workout. For me to step into my creative mindset there are certain songs that really make a difference. These songs range from different genres and even different languages. As soon as I hear them they give me a boost of creativity. I guess these songs are like a muse that provides the creative inspiration I crave when I’ve hit a dry spell. Let me share a few of them with you.
Jay Park X Workmanship / ‘곁에 있어주길 Stay With Me’ (Live Version)
When I started this blog this song gave me so much inspiration. It’s a Korean song, and even though I can understand very little, it’s so soulful. It is calming and allows you to relax so that your thoughts flow freely. Even if you have never listened to Korean songs before give it a try. Remember, music is the universal language.
Alicia Keys – Diary
This song came out when I was in High School. It’s also very calm and soothing. A blog is in a way a diary and you want to share your thoughts in hopes that they’ll be protected. Not so much with an actual blog, but I like the concept of someone using another person as the pages in their diary.
I won't tell your secrets Your secrets are safe with me I will keep your secrets Just think of me as the pages in your diary
Leona Lewis- Better in Time
The words in the song remind me that no matter what happens time really can solve a lot. It can be very motivating when things aren’t going just right, or you’re not reaching the goals you’ve set for yourself, both creatively and personally.
Kygo & Miguel- Remind Me to Forget
This list wouldn’t be complete without Miguel. I love Kygo’s beat as a backdrop to Miguel’s soothing voice.
