We’ve all had those post travel blues. You’ve just arrived home from the trip of your life. The trip was spectacular. You wanted it to never end. But it did eventually come to an end. It’s time to go back to work.

Print Out Your Pictures

Yes, physically print out some pictures and put them in an album. Add ticket stubs, unique wrappers and other little items to your album as well.

It’s nice to see pictures in our phones, but nothing is the same as holding real pictures in our hands. Every time you start to feel down about being back home, relive your trip through your pictures and “small treasures”.

Look At Your Souvenirs

This is why it’s so important to purchase the right kind of souvenirs. You want everyday items that will bring you fond memories. Keychains will not do this.


Pour yourself a cup of tea from your location. Season your next meal with the spices you purchased.┬áInfuse the places you’ve traveled into your everyday life.

You Will Travel Again

Those post travel blues don’t have to last forever. Remind yourself that you will travel again. Maybe it’s not next week or next month, but you will have that experience again. I think that’s one of the best ways to fight the post travel blues, to know that you will travel again. In the meantime, enjoy the memories. And don’t forget to enjoy being back in your familiar surroundings.
