Pick Up the 5 Best Trader Joe’s Travel Snacks

This is my list of the best Trader Joe’s travel snacks. They are items that I personally travel with, and I know you will enjoy them just as much as I do. I do have Crohn’s Disease. So, these snacks are perfect for people who may not be able to enjoy typical snack items like fresh fruit or nuts.

Golden Rounds Crackers

If any variety of Trader Joe’s crackers is going to be sold out, it will always be these. They are a dupe for Ritz Crackers. However, they have more natural ingredients. Also, they are thinner and have a lighter taste, in my opinion.

They are perfect to snack on while you’re waiting for your flight. They’re a great snack to eat while you’re relaxing on a tropical beach. Or munch on them during a hike through the forest. These are at the top of my list of Trader Joe’s travel snacks. The main reason being, they double as something to calm your stomach if you eat food that doesn’t agree with you.

Whole Durum Wheat Couscous

Couscous is fast and easy to cook almost anywhere. This makes it a great travel food. It’s not a snack technically. But it has earned its place on this list due to its versatility.

When I travel, I’m not able to eat everything that is available to me. Traveling with couscous ensures I have something quick and filling to eat. You only need hot water to make it. And it cooks in about 6-7 minutes. Season it to your taste. There are so many ways to flavor it.

It can also feed a lot of people for a small amount of money. This makes it the perfect food for backpackers or others trying to stretch their travel budget.

This “___” walks into a bar cereal bars

Are these cereal bars a dupe for Nutri-Grain bars? I think they are. Trader Joe’s cereal bars come in all different fruit flavors. The strawberry flavor is called “this strawberry walks into a bar.” And the apple flavor is “this apple walks into a bar.”

Flavors available year-round include strawberry, apple and blueberry. They also have seasonal flavors. In the summertime they sell peach flavor. During the fall season they sell pumpkin flavor.

These cereal bars are great for a mid-day snack. They are also great for a quick breakfast if you’re running late for an early morning excursion. These bars get flattened easily, so pack them somewhere they won’t be crushed.

Speculoos Cookies

This delicious cookie is yet another Trader Joe’s dupe. The Speculoos cookies are very similar to the Lotus brand Biscoff cookies. You’ll find these on many Delta Air Lines flights.

If you have never tasted them before, they have a mix of cinnamon, caramel and spice flavors. The original Biscoff cookies were first made in Belgium.

The Trader Joe’s version is perfect to snack on during your flight. They are also great for dipping in your morning coffee or tea. They are so delicious and unique that I love gifting packages of them as well. This is especially the case when gifting to people living in countries where they don’t sell cookies like these.

Organic Corn Chips Dippers

These chips make the fourth dupe on our list. If you love Fritos corn chips, then you will love these. One of my sisters says that these chips have an acquired smell, so maybe you don’t want to eat them on a plane full of people.  Wherever you eat them, you’ll enjoy them. They round out my list of the top 5 Trader Joe’s travel stacks.

Of course, all of these snacks can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. What travel snacks do you love to take with you on every trip? Are you a die-hard Trader Joe’s fan like me? Let me know in the comments.
