So much of the trip is getting there. It’s overcoming the hurdles and struggles that make up a lot of our good memories about a trip. They are the intense situations that make good stories later.

“Our best moments happen during the worst conditions.” -Unknown

You may miss your flight and get lost. But we are really able to shine during adversity.

“It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.”Eleanor Roosevelt

“Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure.” -Bob Bitchin

“If it’s both terrifying and amazing then you should definitely pursue it.” -Erada

Traveling can be scary. This is especially true if it’s to a place where you’ve heard many negative things about. But challenge those negative stories and find out for yourself. Don’t do anything that will put your life at risk. Life is precious. But do step outside your comfort zone. Nothing amazing happens to us in our comfort zones.

These quotes have helped me get through some sticking situations abroad. I hope they can help you too.
